The Architectural Concept
THIS. reflects the industrial architecture that still features the Amsterdam-Noord area. A materials palette of red brich, copper-colored aluminium and glass connect perfectly with the industrial legacy of t neighboorhood. So does the rational grid of the building, its tall windows, rectangular columns and brick arches.
The angular shape of the office building allows a maximum orientation towards the IJ-waterfront. On the ground floor, public accisible amanities are housed in an open structure contained by wide brick arches and tall windows. The canti-levers of the office floor frame wonderful views of the water and have a practical purpose in providing shade. The vertical louvres of the façade vary in their placement, so creating a dynamic look.
Inside the building, the main feature is the atrium, which bathes the building in daylight and provides visual and physical connection for all the adjacent office floors. The atrium functions as the heart of the building. Here, working and relaxing come perfectly together.

One of the most unique features of the office is that, from every point of every floor, users have a spectacular view over the IJ water, or over the atrium where a green wall grows towards the sky. The office views contribute to a pleasent, healthy, and inspiring working environment.
